In June of 1972 we were in the process of building our home in Bushkill in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. After the Hurricane Agnes came through, we decided to visit it and see if there had been any damage.

Crossing the Delaware over the Dingman's Ferry Bridge was the most unforgettable sight we had ever seen. Entire houses, rooftops, garages, etc, were floating down the muddy brown river, almost reaching to the level of the bridge.

Thankfully, our well-built, locally crafted home was still standing.

We love crossing that bridge and every time we marvel at how Mother Nature holds us in her hands.
